With the ordinance for a tobacco-free campus at Michigan State University taking place in Aug. 15, 2016,
some student's believe this is not the right decision.
“Students should have the right to use tobacco whenever they want on
campus,” said Matt Stevenson, a junior at MSU.
This ordinance will not have much effect, according to Brian Wilson, a
representative for Lorillard Tobacco.
“Banning tobacco on
campuses will not do much I believe. These kids will still find a way to smoke
it or chew it if they have to,” said Wilson.
Overall, tobacco is
becoming a major problem on college campuses.
